I love the book, too, but I love the musical more.

Haha, I love it when people share my obsessions. Makes me seem less obsessed somehow. lol. The music for Rent and Wicked are just amazing (Wicked wins out tho) and so memorable.

LOL when i get arrested for not paying bills so i can go see Idina it's all your fault :)

But i don't care coz i'm overly squuueeeeey i can't wait :)
I'm going twice now :) possibly 3 times, but i think i'm being a bit OTT in 2 days lol

LOL! It's alright, I want to spend extra time in London after Peg2 so I can get a few shows in, so I'll probably be in the cell next to you for robbing a bank. You gotta finance these things somehow! ;)

Yeah, we did! *grins* But I gotta start the story earlier so you can understand why I'm squeeing so much. Tracy and I were dressed up as Galinda and Elphie, and we were in the front row... and in the middle of One Short Day, when the lights flickered over the audience, Idina and Helen spotted us and got the giggles, right in the middle of a line. *g* They got it under control after a line or two, and when Idina has to come out to the front and point into the audience a little after that, she came down and pointed right at me, met my eyes and gave me a big grin. <333! The two of them did wonderfully yesterday, Idina's back on top form and Helen's really settled into the role. ^_________^

During the whole show, 14 people asked to take pics of me and Tracy, and three people actually mistook me for Idina. One American woman asked for my autograph *blinks wildly* and I had to tell her I wasn't the actress ;) And then this little girl came and asked if the two of us were the understudies for the characters (like they'd be sitting in the audience? :P). Tracy is good at dealing with little kids, though. ;P

Anyway, during the finale, Tracy and me got special waves :D - from Idina, Helen, James, Katie and Adam. *grins widely*

At the stage door, golly! Okay, so almost none of them actually came out between the matinee and the evening performance because they had a competition winner in there. But we waited, just in case. James did come out, and Tracy got him to sign her Grimmerie, and he asked if he could sign her boobs and she told him no. *giggles* He came back later and had a little playful sort of argument with her about whether or not she was going to put her coat on over her dress (she didn't want to even though it was freezing cold because she said it would have spoiled the costume)...

James: Put your coat on.
Tracy: No.
James: On.
Tracy: No.
James: On.
Tracy: No.
James: *gives up and goes back inside*

And Adam Garcia came out, and he signed my copy of the book, and he said "Barely noticed you in there!" and winked. *grins*

I had to go at half seven, and even then I didn't get home until after midnight, but I caught the last train. I wish I could've stayed, because apparently one of the dancers came out later, Tracy managed to stay later than I could, and she said that she couldn't believe that we made Idina and Helen crack like that and it was great. They'd been talking about it all through the interval and were hoping we'd stay till the evening. (Which I would have done if I could, but it would've meant staying in London overnight, and I just don't have the funds.) Also, they and Miriam thought we looked great and wanted to meet us.

I just booked for 29th too :) i really shouldnt but i can't not lol :) I got row B tickets for that too so i'm well chuffed :)

Did they have merchandise on sale? other than programs i mean.

Hee. Yeah. They come out sometime between quarter to 11 and midnight after the evening performance, usually. I wish I could go see it again, but I just can't afford it... *sads*

Yeah, lots of stuff. Green stuffed toy monkeys, mugs, keyrings, CDs, Wizard of Oz DVDs, green babygros, Defying Gravity and Popular shirts... a ton of stuff. I wanted a baseball cap but I couldn't afford it.

Oh dear something tells me i will be spending all my christmas money that should be for peg 2 but i want a hoodey :)

Hoodies are £30. :)

I went a bit nuts on merc, both in NY and London, lol. So far my collection consists of: Chistery monkey, mug, t-shirt, hoodie, 2 programmes, pin (but that's MIA, lol), 3 bands (but two were eaten by a cat so really it's just 1), fridge magent... and bluebanrigh bought me the soundtrack for my birthday. And bookwise, I have Wicked, SoaW and The Grimmerie.

I really wanted to buy a babygrow coz they're so cute but as I don't have a sprog yet... LOL!

Yeah, I'm not obsessed. :p

LOL, that's what I was like. I hit the merc stands and my eyes kinda glazed over. Wasn't even sure exactly what I'd bought till I got to my seat and went through the bag, lol.

But yeah, take plenty of money, lol. I spent just over $100 on Broadway and about £50 at the West End (and that's not including sweets and cocktails, lol)

IIRC, there's 4 merc stands on the ground floor and one upstairs by the actual theatre entrance, so you can't really miss them. If you go the bar, I recommend the Pink Princess. I tried it like 4 times just to make sure I liked it. *g*

That's what happened to me, too - it wasn't until I'd really gotten into the lust_and_fame series that I got hooked on Wicked. I thought I oughta see what it was all about, and I listened to the CD... and I've been hooked ever since!

OMG i gotta readt :) taaa :)

Its a bad thing lol, once your hooked its forever :)
